Black Truffles First Choice by Plantin - 50g jar
Cooking Advice :
These whole truffles come in a jar with their juice, which can be used for sauce preparation. As for the truffle, it will be a perfect match for meat, chicken, game ("gibier"), fish or even eggs, but keep in mind that black truffles are best paired with simple warm dishes. Please note that it is crucial to warm up slightly (and not cook it) any piece of truffle by incorporating it to a warm dish to make sure all flavors are liberated : Its aromas are far more potent when slivered or sliced over dishes at the last minute. Only 10g per person will completely change the taste of any preparation.
Wine Recommendation :
A matured wine is advised if you wish to eat the Truffle by itself. With meat, we recommend red wine (Pomerol, Côtes du Rhône), while with fish, a full body white wine would be the most suited (Meursault or white Côtes du Rhône).
