Founded in 1797, the Charbonneaux company used to make soap before gradually moving towards the denaturing of alcohol. Its activity has evolved over time under the leadership of the Charbonneaux family, six generations of which followed from 1797 to the middle of the 20th century.


From then, the company continued its development to become a leading player in the manufacture of vinegars, mustards, oils, mayonnaises and sauces which led to the creation of the famous Beaufor and Clovis brands.
